Soprano, Anna Eschbach, is an active performer and private voice instructor in the Central Florida area. Born and raised in Orlando, Ms. Eschbach performs regularly with numerous ensembles and orchestras throughout Florida, including Opera Orlando, the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, the Villages Philharmonic, and the Orlando Philharmonic. Known for her performance in oratorio, her guest solo appearances include Orff’s Carmina Burana, Saint-Saens’ Oratorio de Noel, Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes, Poulenc’s Gloria, Rutter’s Gloria and Magnificat, Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony, as well as Handel’s Messiah.
In addition to oratorio, Ms. Eschbach enjoys performance in opera as well. Notable roles include Javotte from Massenet’s Manon, Mary Warren from Ward’s The Crucible, Rose from Weill’s Street Scene, Monica from Menotti’s The Medium, and Miss Wordsworth in Britten’s Albert Herring. In 2019, she premiered the role of Anne Boleyn in an original show, 6 of VIII, which won Critic’s Choice for the 2019 Orlando Fringe Festival. Her performance was hailed as “soul-rattling.” Ms. Eschbach was also a featured studio artist with Orlando Opera for the 2019-2020 season, in which she performed countless outreach concerts, as well as the role of Barbarina in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.
Currently, Ms. Eschbach maintains a thriving private voice studio in the Orlando area and is on the voice faculty at Rollins College. Her students have received ample scholarships to prominent music schools such as Manhattan School of Music, Penn State University, Belmont University, Savannah College of Art & Design, Stetson University, Florida State University, the University of Florida, and the University of Central Florida. She has had students win the Applause Awards and has students currently singing on Disney stages. In addition, her students regularly receive superior ratings at district and state Solo & Ensemble, as well as district and state Thespians.
